A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam, but this problem can be rectified by using anti-spam protection software. It is also important to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

In case you’ve got a web hosting service with our company and you want to activate the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox that you have in your web hosting account, it’ll take literally only one single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have created under any domain name registered in your account. You can pick one address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button.
